Prestressed Bellows, also known as prestressing ducts, are key components used in post-tensioned concrete structures. They serve as protective conduits for prestressing tendons (PC strands or steel wires), allowing for the safe and efficient placement, stressing, and grouting of tendons within concrete members. These bellows are typically made of corrugated galvanized steel or high-density polyethylene (HDPE), offering flexibility, crush resistance, and excellent bond with concrete. After the tendon is tensioned, the duct is injected with grout to provide corrosion protection and bond the strand to the surrounding concrete.
